In June, alongside some amazing Access employees (soon to be friends - whether they like it or not!), I’ll be trekking the final 67km of the Camino Francés, one of the most iconic sections of the Camino de Santiago. As a team, we’ll start in Palas de Rei and make our way through rolling green hills, peaceful forests, tiny hamlets and traditional Spanish villages, following the same route pilgrims have taken for centuries. The journey ends in Santiago de Compostela’s Old Town, a UNESCO World Heritage Site with a cathedral so impressive it might distract me from how much my legs will be hurting.

This isn’t a gentle stroll - it’s a real challenge. The truth is I’m now officially 'middle‑aged', unfit and overweight. So trekking for three consecutive days, covering up to 29km in one go, will require commitment, determination, a positive attitude… and probably a small mountain of blister plasters, a back-pack full of snacks and the kind of painkillers you can't buy over the counter!! (taken responsibly, of course!).

How you can help - please donate and be part of something amazing. Here's a better incentive, every pound you give will be matched by Access, so your donation goes twice as far...... think of it as a BOGOF - for every £1 you donate, Access will donate £1 too. It's a win win!!

Thank you so much for your support
